I'm very worried as I've had no choice but to give up my job due to illness,I've been struggling and fighting this condition for months now but its finally got the better of me. I saw a specialist neurologist in London last month and have to go again 10th March, then 20th April. Im also seeing a local neurologist. I suffer from a rare condition which wakes me at night up to 4 times and I'm in serious pain in my head which means I have to inject myself everynight twice also I'm on tablets which make me dizzy,confused,very tired and have bad side affects, I regularly use pure oxygen to help relieve the pain also. The travel costs to London have drained me, as I live in the NE of England, anyway I will run out of money soon to pay my IVA and in a months time I will be in my 5th year Ive been putting of calling my IP to explain my situation as I dread the thought of bankruptcy as you may know from previous posts Ive had a bad time of it lately ie redundant last year etc the list goes on. Can you please advise me on what I can do please.

Perhaps your IP could arrange a creditors meeting and ask them to accept what you have paid so far as F&F paayment?

It sounds like you have had a dreadful time, some of your symptoms are very familiar to me so i can sympathise.
I hope you get things sorted out and i really hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi Lisa, If you have some of my symptoms I strongly suggest you go and see your doctor! Ive been told its the worst pain known to man, anyway I will call my Ip hopefully tomorrow, I need to have this sorted, do you think they will accept full and final. If not what are my options? Wish Melanie was on here.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and Trigeminal Neuralgia so already recieve treatment.

Its possible they will accept. Its not unheard of when medical issues occur

what do I need to do to get this started? it would be a huge relief as I suffer from chronic cluster headaches, not sure if you have ever heard of this condition.

I would wright or email your IP now and explain your situation. I would put in a doctors note if you can get one. Ask if you can offer what you have paid to date as a full and final settlement. A creditors meeting would need to be called and creditors would have to vote in the same was as they did originally..

A friend of mine has something similar to you and had brain surgery after a very long battle with doctors.
I can understand what you say about it being one of the worst pains known to man......Trigeminaal Neuralgia is nicknamed "the suicide pain" NOT nice.

Definately contact your IP and see if they can arrnage a creditors meeting to offer whats been paid so far to end the arrangement. You may need information from your doctor to prove your case,but the only inportnat thing just now is your health.

Ive contacted my IP who were fantastic, they requested I send them all the documentation I have regarding my condition, which I have done straight away in the post,and there is alot of information ive sent, my IP suggested we go for " paid to date" think this means an early settlement due to health grounds (and my condition is genuine) I have nothing to hide, the March payments have been suspended for the time being. I was really worried about bankruptcy but my IP said that wont happen as im so close to the end, it was still a major worry though.

We have a very good success rate as I am sure most companies do. If your IP is happy to recommend it to creditors he must be confident of it being accepted.

well I will keep you informed, I have been told since I have no assets at all, my creditors are more than likely to accept, I didnt go down the br route in the first place because I got myself into this mess and I was determined to pay back as much as I could which I have done up to now, so far ive paid in £14272.00.

Thanks,I really do feel tonns better after speaking to my IP, I emailed my IP last night asking them to call me today, that way I couldnt put it off again. I just want this dreadful condition to stop, I battled it for so long but the headaches never stop and I am emotionally and physically drained, at some point this year the hospital will need to keep me in for a week for more intence treatment if my medication doesnt work soon and its not working like it should be so I think April time, wonder if anyone else on here suffers the same thing?
