Welcome to the Forum k11,

If your IVA payments have been reduced, how is it that you are still struggling?

If you are considering bankruptcy I would contact your I.P to keep them in the loop, you could ask if you can use your IVA payments to pay for the bankruptcy.

I would think carefully before you make any decisions, bankruptcy is a big step.

Hi K11,

I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling. Can you tell us how this happen? Why are the reduced payments still not affordable to you?

Regards,
Michelle P.

Ultimately if you no longer feel an IVA is the best course of action for you you can stop paying into it causing it to fail. You will then be able to use this money to fund your bankruptcy.

Hi K11, I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with your IVA. As others have said please think carefully before opting for BR, but if you feel it is right for you I would speak to your IP and advise them that you will be making no more payments into your IVA. You can then use the money to pay your BR fees, which is what I did.

Good luck, and I hope that you can work things out with your partner.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi
If you are sure bankruptcy is the right move for you then simply stop paying into your IVA and use this money to fund the bankruptcy.
