I always used to reply to the letters telling them that I wouldn't deal by phone, only in writing. Not that that made any difference!
You could do what some posters do and tell them to hang on a second and put the phone down and go back 15 minutes later. They'll have gone.
You could also have your number changed.

Yeah I'm ok today, still panicking but just reading today not doing much else and trying to stop thinking about everything. Just trying to forget about things for while and deal only with what I have to.
