IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

This is a terrible time for both of you, maybe you are both more stressed than you both realise. I hope things start to calm down for you soon.

We (oh & I) are having a 'quiet' night as well!

Hi Michael

Sorry to hear you're not having a good evening. Stress is a terrible thing isn't it? Me and my husband are in an IVA (I'm not sure whether you are or not)and I am having a really negative day today, I just said to him that I don't think I have it in me to carry on with this for another three and a bit years but he is ever hopeful and said that we will muddle through it, one way or another! Aaagh! I am at work so unfortunately I can't storm off but if I were at home with him now, I probably would have done! I just feel like screaming some days! Its nothing personal, its just frustration at the situation. Maybe this is how your other half feels? Sorry if this sounds a bit strange, but you sounded like you needed someone to reply. Hope you enjoy the football and that your other half calms down soon.

Liz

Sorry if I sounded too light hearted, I'm having a phone call from my IP at 8pm to discuss my options as to a way forward, we have lots of problems whilst in IVA and I can only stay positive, my husband doesn't appear to care what happens as his attitude is always 'oh whatever' not what I always want to hear which is why I log on here to be amongst people who do care and do understand. x

Hi again Michael

Could you afford to do an IVA if your other half stays in her current job?

Its awful when you feel alone in things isn't it? My husband deals with things by pretending they aren't happening. As I said in my earlier post, he is very much of the view of "Let's wait and see what happens" or "It'll all be okay" but I know deepdown he is as stressed as I am about things but he is just trying not to let it all get to him. I do get very frustrated with him at times though. I just think to myself how does he know it'll all be okay? Say it isn't all okay? Grrr! Perhaps your other half is in denial about things at the moment? Its a very scary thing trying to tackle your problems. I intermittently suffer from mild depression and when I am on a downer, I can't be bothered thinking about anything and am quite happy to let everyone else take over. I know this sounds really selfish but when I am on a "downer", I just don't think too rationally.

At least you know you can come on this Forum and let off steam.
