Hi All - I have finally had some wonderful news - the creditors have accepted my offer of £10k against £14,400 remaining of an original £18k debt.[:D] Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the support I've had over the last 2 years, it's been extremely stressful and I would definitely have gone mad without you.

Just one final question... Any idea what happens now? I had a letter 2 weeks ago saying my IVA will be amended to reflect it but nothing since.... I get the impression my IP is inundated as it seems to take forever to do anything. I'm obviously keen to get my credit report updated asap - do I have to do that or will they do that as part of the settlement process?

I presume you have paid the money across? You should get a certificate of completion statement from your IP - this will need to be sent either by them or yourself to the credit reference agencies who will annotate their records - unfortunately thoughit does not remove it from your file until 6 years from the date of commencement from your IVA.

Well done - I bet you feel relieved !

Thanks guys - relieved doesn't quite describe it!! Feel like my life isn't on hold anymore which is exhilarating... I have all sorts of plans [:)] It's only now that I am starting to realise the full extent of how all the stress affects you.

I've not heard anything from them other than the offer is accepted. I haven't arranged payment or anything like that.... It's strange as I would have thought they would want the dosh asap? I'm a little concerned as I think the company may be going under... there only seems to be a couple of people working there.

I have no intention of getting credit again so my file can stay as it is I guess. I'd like to get a better bank account though really as my solo account is often refused which is a bine. I think my bank would consider upgrading it without an overdraft as long as my account is registered clear, thats all.

Penny

Which IP firm are you with? I am suprised that they did not do a combined Chairman's and closure report, or that they did not request the money from you in advance. That could have really speeded things up for you.

Hi Penny
Chase your IP as they can sit on concluding your IVA and put it at the bottom of the pile.Your IVA is still live until your IP has issued your completion certificate and your name is off the insolvency register. My own conclusion via a full and final took nearly three months
Chase them on a regular basis
Regards
Andam Davies
