Glad I've got nothing planned for the next few months as I know I'd have nothing to fit me! I like leggings too now Jan as they are comfie but wonder what I'm going to wear in the summer. Leggings must be flattering too as I went to Crufts the other week and my friend videoed her daughter in the YKC handling and I was spectating and when I saw myself I pointed it out to my daughter and the cheeky monkey said 'that's not you, she's really thin' It was me!

I live in leggings now other than when I'm at work. They are brilliant, even though one of my colleagues thinks that if you're over 30 you shouldn't even look at them!

You must have looked good Lesley!

Aww thats a compliment Lesley [:)]... I rarely wear leggings unless I'm walking the dog.

On the job front..I've been offered to work in my firends shop. Only until I find something...bless her I think she's worried about me. Only thing is, her shop is fab...she sells stunning childrens clothes and I know I'll end up spending more than I earn!

I don't want to hurt her feelings so have said I'll do some shifts until something comes along.

Nice to have good friends [:)]

That's nice Julie - at least it's something to keep you occupied until something more permanent comes along.

Just leave the purse at home!

My first job was in a shop and I loved it! I had the chance to train as a shop manager, but I was only 19 at the time and I wasn't interested and moved on to work in the court service.

I wish I'd done the training course now, but at 19 no way was I ready for the responsibility of managing a shop! I loved working at the court though so I think it was the right decision at the time.

You still have the court/police in mind Skip?? Its not too late you know!

With me, shop, customer service was a stepping stone and something I can go back to.

I can't go back into the court service as I've been bankrupt - one of the questions on the website is 'Have you ever been an undischarged bankrupt?' and if you answer yes you can't go any further.

I think the police could be out as well - to join my local force you have to have a particular qualification (I can't remember what it's called now) which costs nearly £700 to do but even if you pass it doesn't mean you'll get a place on the force. I can't afford it, and it wouldn't be a lot of use for any other job, and it didn't even sound that interesting!
