Well redundancy money reached my account today.....now its so real and scary [:0] That money has to last a long long time!!!!

I had another rejection yesterday and when I pushed for more reasons, it was because I was too experienced and they thought I'd get bored int he job! Hello...isn't that for me to decide???

I have a few appointments next week with agencies and old contacts so hopefully something will come of those. I've also approached local CAB to see if I can volunteer there until I secure employment. I'm bored and need to work now !

The only upside, is I am so much more organised personally and even hand delivered my Dad's birthday card a day early!! Normally he geats it late...[:0][:D]

Good luck to both of you Linda and Julie, I hope you both find something soon.

A quick question - do you have to complete the forms that ask for ethnic origin, religion and sexuality? I personally think it's an invasion of privacy but am never sure if it'll go against me if I don't fill them in!

No...you don't have to complete those forms Skip.

They will be included in application forms but MUST always be an additional form, that you can opt out of completing. This cannot have an implication on your application.

Likewise you should not be asked to disclose your age unless the role is age dependant.

If your age is essential for the role...i.e to serve alcohol, then in the first instance you should only be asked to tick a box defining your age group.

xx

I'm astounded at some of the application forms I have seen.... they blatantly entice apllicants to confirm personal facts!!
hubby says I have to take a step back and not be so critical [:D]
