I would never go, but it's each to his own as far as sports are concerned I suppose.

Wouldn't convince me to go even if someone else was paying for it![:D][:D]

Helen the betting is easy...and fun trying to get the best odds at the course. I pick a jockey and bet on whatever horse or donkey [:D] they're on!
Jan - my Mum said she'd never go horse racing until Dad convinced her one day..she has no interest in betting but goes all the time now. The ambience is terrific.
Cheltenham festival is about so much more than just the racing...the entertainment is fab.
Always better if you get a few winners though [:D]
Never going to convince me Julie. Bit like football I'm afraid!

Julie - hubby doesn't like it either, and you wouldn't convince him to go either!

I pick the horses by the names or what colour the jockey is wearing. Last time we went Dave was looking at the form etc and I won more than he did!
I don't bother trying to find the best odds as I only do one horse per race, £1 each way - I go to the one with the shortest queue as I don't do queuing!
Hi
Thanks for all your good wishes, you sound very positive Julie which is good.
Have never been to a race meeting or in a betting shop not really my thing to be honest.
Linda x
Well as you know I enjoy the footie.
One of the worst thing about being in IVA has been giving up my season ticket. I really miss going to the football regulary it was my escape.

We all like different things in life and I respect others likes and dislikes, never been to the races but would never say never like I wouldn't to anything....sometimes the atmosphere can be very enjoyable even at a sport you don't enjoy and it would also depend on the company you're with of course.
I went with daughter to many concerts of people I would never normally listen to e.g. McFly, Busted, Avril Lavigne and when I was there it was an enjoyable evening as just to see her face light up (she'd cringe now) was worth me being there. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
