Hello, not very happy today- had an apointment with nationwide to open there simple cash card account, got there and they told me im not allowed it as im entering into an iva and it would be frozen on completion? i told them i was advised they are a good bank and recomended for iva- got quite upset!! ive heard people recomend the co op bank- which account would i be allowed with them and how long does it take to set up? i have been trying to change bank for the last month (first with natwest who were slow and useless then with nationwide) thanks R[:(]

I'd recommend the Co-op Cashminder as well. You need to apply on the phone or in a branch.

The co op is a fantastic, friendly and helpful bank, I have nothing bad to say about them and always recieve a first class service.

You can also pay money into/withdraw money from any post office[:)]
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

me neither, I went in and told all, they offered me a cuppa and made me feel at ease.

They always try for the higher accounts first and mine got deferred, then they sent me the stuff through for a cashminder, so it does take a week or so to get everything through.

Better treatment than the other bank I went to, I explained and they took me to the bowels of the building, I was thinking I was going to be hung, but they did give me a basic account there and then.

RBS is linked to Natwest, I don't think there linked to lloyds. Co-op cash minder is a good one to go for.
