Have just had call from my IP. He can't give me an answer until Monday sometime as they have had a few delays today and have now run out of time in the day to collate the paperwork. Looks like I'm getting a long weekend whether I like it or not. Worse still I can't get to the phone for most of Monday so may not know until the evening. I actually feel sick not sure what to do for the best.

Oh how rotten for you.
You build yourself up so much for the meeting and to be held off till monday is hard. Still stay positive.
Try to relax a little over the weekend and wait for monday now.
I will be watching to see how things go.

Just got home and logged on hoping to see Good News for you.[:(] so sorry to hear that you won't know now till Monday. You must be feeling so fed up but try not to let it spoil the weekend. you have the Wedding to go to Tomorrow so hopefully it will take your mind off things for a bit. I think it's going to be the same for me next week as we have Northern Rock[:(] I will keep everything crossed for you over the weekend.[:)] try to keep busy and think positive thoughts.

Oh no, how awful for you facefacts[:(]

You focus so much on your meeting date any delay must be terrible, especially as it goes over a weekend.

Keep positive and you should be celebrating on Monday[:)]
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

They must have known whether the IVA had been accepted or not surely! Seems pretty awful customer service.

Well it has been an agonising weekend and due to boyfriend being really ill at weekend we didn't even go to the wedding (couldn't travel) so had nothing to keep my mind busy really...
Anyway, guess who got ACCEPTED at 2pm today!
The company apologised for all of the trouble, apparently they had some system problems on Friday causing delays. They had my votes, but weren't sure if they had all of them.
Thanks everyone for all of your kind thoughts and support over the past few days. It has really helped as I haven't told anyone off the forum about my situation.

In case it's useful for anyone here are the results of my votes. I had no rejections.
Lloyds TSB £21,000 voted YES.
HBOS £1,500 voted YES with condition of higher payment. This has been negotiated and no higher payment will be persued.
Vanquis £750 voted YES.
La Redoute Catalogue £190 voted YES.
Egg £2,000 voted YES.
Capital One £200 voted YES.
MBNA Virgin £6,100 didn't vote.
MBNA £2,500 didn't vote.
Citi Card £4,500 didn't vote.
Freemans Catalogue £500 didn't vote.

Hope this is helpful to other.
My payments will now be £365 per month. Considering I used to pay Lloyds alone £398 this means I can really look forward to the future and start to be in control of my finances rather than just swimming among the interest and the charges.

I just feel like a huge weight has been lifted.
I'm definitely going to relax tonight and enjoy a nice glass of wine with my omelette. Got most of the ingredients from a friends farm so am feeling really pleased with that!
PS found mini bottles of weightwatchers dry white wine on 4 bottles for £5 at Morrisons. It tastes ok and means I can have a drink at an affordable price while still being a bit good with the diet!

Boyfriend is much better today thanks. Awful food poisoning. Not my cooking - just his love of pies from the service station - that will teach him!

Kallis3 I have just read your blog. Very interesting and a story not so far from my own.
Just for your interest, I am looking into getting a pre-paid credit card to help me out from time to time. I have been lucky enough to get a solo card from Natwest but this is not accepted everywhere which can be a little difficult. The pre-paid cards allow you to load cash onto them so it's there when you need it. I am looking into a BaBeeCard at the moment as it seems to come with a lot of discounts. There is a fee of £14.95 to set it up and it is valid for 1 year. I haven't had time to look into it properly yet, but I think it seems pretty good as there are no charges for transactions in the UK unlike most of the other pre-paid cards. Maybe this could help you out...
