If you have a pay rise during an IVA, this is taken into account at annual review stage - at the same time as any increased expenditure - and then if there is still a surplus of additional income your payments will increase by 50% of that.

IP meeting with Melanie tomorrow, one step closer to the creditors meeting, it's all coming together now, looking forward to finally talking to Melanie. It's not very often you see a person weeks before you actually hear their voice, It's normally the other way around!

Good luck, Melanie is lovely and will soon sort you out.

Shouldn't be long till you get a date now.

Well I've had my meeting with Melanie and, just like the rest of her team, she's a very understanding person and a pleasure to talk to. The talk I think is invaluable, it enables you to get any burning questions out of the way and have things you're unsure of explained in more detail, I'm glad to say that the majority of our chat took little explaining through the wealth of knowledge on these forums and the amount of reading I've been doing!
It also helps with the confidence of the proposal being accepted, I was unsure that what we were going to be paying would be enough but Melanie seems very confident that everything should be ok and that's helped a huge amount.
I'm now looking forward to the creditors meeting although on the day I'm unsure at this point how I'll feel, by then some doubts may have crept back in but for now I'm feeling reasonably optimistic and looking forward to making that journey to being debt free.
Don't get me wrong I haven't got blinkers on and don't for a minute think it'll be an easy ride, it'll be a huge learning curve which I like to think I'm already in.
Fingers crossed in a few weeks the creditors meeting will be done and hopefully I'll be making a thanks very much post to Melanie and her team.

Knew you would be ok with Mel, she's lovely.

You'll have your date here before you know it, and of course you know that we are here for you, and Mel and her team are on the other end of the phone if you need them.

I've just finished finalising the proposals, and they will be in the post to you tomorrow. Don't forget to call me over the weekend if you have any further queries - available at any time apart from when the football is on!

Creditors Meetings : 7 July 10:30 & 10:45 I dare say the nerves on that day will be comparable to the last 15 minutes of the England match last night! After the excellent results Mel and her team have been getting recently I'm quite optimistic but there's 13 days for the 'what if' thoughts to creep back in!
