I never had any at work either, other than on my mobile. I set the ring tone to the same as my text tone so people at work used to think I had a message. As soon as I saw who is was, I just hit the ignore button.

Had a text from Barclaycard today saying they are handing my debt to a debt collection agency.

Still ignoring the phone although it's mainly Barclaycard and Nsationwide credit card who are doing all the calling.

If it hasn't already, then they will pass it onto Mercers, who really are persistent.

Just to warn you!

Been there, done it and got several T shirts Cath! Mercers are a total nightmare as a lot of posters on here will tell you.

They were my worst ones, but the only time I answered a call from them was the day my IVA was approved and I took great delight in telling them that! Not heard from them since.

Mercers are in fact a division of barclaycard and try give the impression they are now in charge of the account.

They are Barclay's debt collection arm. You will be threatened with local debt collection agents calling, that's what they do and the letters are always in a very fetching shade of red!

No one turned up at my house, but other posters have had visits, but once the (polite) agents have been told that an IVA is underway, they go away.

You don't have to talk to them though if they do turn up.

I must admit Mercers were my nightmare there too, luckily nobody turned up for me either but they're certainly persistant I'll give them that.

Just be persistant back and hopefully you'll get through their thick skins.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
