hi skippy i did not mean to offend anybody we are on here no to judge people but to help and advice if they say no to my iva then i will go bankrupt because it would be a easy way out of it for me yes i will loose my job but will be debt free i spoke to somebody i know who went bankrupt 5 years ago yes i agree he cant have credit until it comes of is credit file but he knows friend of a friend who went bankrupt 10 years ago and got a advantage gold account at natwest and a credit card with 10k credit limit on it and got a mortgage again is mortgage is 105k from natwest bank
can i say skippy say if this iva go though will it tranished permanently

What happens if an undischarged bankrupt has a windfall? not insinuating anything or saying anyones got off lightly , was just wandering.

they might have claims over you for a number of years but might be worth speaking to melanie giles she might know

If an undischarged bankrupt receives a windfall it must be handed over to the OR. Again, any monies left over will be returned to the person after the debts, interest and OR's costs (which are higher than an IPs) are paid.

If the money is received post discharge the money doesn't have to be handed over. The only time there might be a problem is if the money was an inheritance for example - if the death happened while the recipient of the money was undischarged but the money was paid after discharge the OR would still have a claim on it.

thanks Skippy all this talk of windfalls had me thinking bout the difference between iva and bankrupt, not that I won the £88million friday so it doesn't make much difference to me at the mo[:(]

I got 2 not that it did me any good dont think I had one number!!!!I did win £6.70 a few months back though so maybe thats my lot for a while!

The most I've won this year is a tin of oxtail soup and couple of bottle of fizzy orange at the local fete! I don't like either of them!

£6 would do me at the mo never mind £6mill, least I could treat myself to a chinese. 26 Years old and have stayed in for the last 4 months worth of saturdays watching rubbish telly .... roll on 2011 when its all over!
