Hi
Well done
Once you get your certificates of completion from your IP you can send a copy t each of the credit reference organisations so that they can update their records.
Your IVA will stay on your file for a total of six years from when it first started.

Hi tim.d and welcome to the forum - well done on nearly completing your IVA - it's always a good idea to check out your credit reference – just to make sure, it looks as it should.

As far as i know everything should say settled, so check this...when i checked mine after my completed IVA i had defaults (lloyds) still showing an outstanding balance...The credit agency looked into this for me and got it sorted.

The Defaults and the default amount will stay but the outstanding balnce should read 00.00 and the D (default) should be S (settled) HTH x

Hi Tim

It should not be too difficult to get a basic account, which could be used as a business account in the meantime - could you just separate the personal transactions from the business ones. Once you have been with the bank for a couple of months, I am sure that they would then open a separate business account for you if one is really needed.

Welcome to the Forum Tim.d,

You will not be able to gain credit for one more year after your IVA has finished, as your IVA stays on your credit file for a total of 6 years from its commencement.

Open a seperate basic account with a bank and then use this for your business transactions whilst you are setting up the new business. Once established make an appointment with the Business Manager of that bank and hopefully they will be able to set you up with some business baking facilities.
