After the IVA was approved the IP did say to allow 10-14 days for our creditors to update their systems.
Well, over one month later and I got a letter yesterday. I am just going to ring the IP and let them sort it out, but one of the aspects of IVA I was looking forward to most was to not be bothered by letters and phone calls, yet we have had quite a few still.
How long, realistically, can it take for them all to finally get the message in your experience?
The letters should reduce, it sometimes takes a few extra weeks for creditors to update their records, letters ceased approx 6 - 8 weeks for me from date of IVA approval - but am sure it depends on your creditors, don't worry too much as your IVA has been approved, so there is little creditors can do - just pass them to the IP to sort, it will get better.
It will stop soon,at least when they arrive now you can take pleasure in not even opening them if you want, just put them in an envelope and send to your IP!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
it can take a while sometimes, took one of mine 4 months. never heard a peep from them till after! sending them the chairmans report stopped them in the end.

Hi
The thing to remember is that the letters and phone calls are meaningless now that you are in an IVA,just let it wash over you and pass on the letters to your IP
Regards
They can't do a thing to you. It does seem to take a long time for the information to filter down from the organ grinder. I was lucky and have had none at all, some peope have had them for months afterwards.
At least you don't have to quake in your boots anymore when letters arrive.
