Hi there my employer is going to be making two one off payments of 600 pounds to help assist with the rising cost of living. My question is, will this be classed as additional income where I can only keep 50 percent or will they allow me to keep it due to the reasons for it?

Many thanks.

As it is employment related I would imagine that it will be treated as a bonus and half go to the IVA. The alternative is that it is a windfall and all will go to the IVA !

I can't see the IP treating it as an exempt cost of living compensation payment unless the Insolvency Service come up with a scheme similar to that during the covid outbreaks.
I am not qualified to give advice and can only state my opinions, based on my IVA experiences.
