Hey there yes I'm I'm MSE :-)

Well I'm have to go pick up drs note in the morning thrn off to uni to drop it off

Hopfully exams will be sat in September, though ATM I'm not hopful of doing them well or feel I'm up for another yr at uni right now :-(

Won't get a diagnosis for a while as other things still need ruling out :-s I'm probably looking nearer to Xmas for a diagnosis eeeek

Well hubby called GT today about his back pay and overtime
Overtime yes is we keep first 10% then it's 50/50 split
But his 4 years backpay looks to possibly be classed as a windfall so we could loose it all :-( Im not at all overly happy at that but we need to email all info for them to look at it properly

I really hope we don't loose it all as at this time as half off it is a lot of money that is really needed right now
this time next year We'll be millionaires :-)

I hope your exams go well when you sit them. Thanks for the advice for daughter I will pass it on. She's busy revising for A2's at the minute.

Good luck with the backpay issue and I sincerely hope you get to retain some.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Well the paperwork hubby finally go makes it more sound like a settlement rather than back pay so it's looking more like it will be classed as a windfall :-(
It was never paid to him on a wage slip but by a cheque then a settlement agreement given
Only initial quick print out shows it was taxed at 30%

I'm so sad at this prospect as so much needs to be done on this house that will also provide more equity in year 5 but it just won't get done at this rate :-(

Well been over 3 weeks now since all paperwork was emailed, and nothing!!! We've heard nothing and it's driving me potty!!
Hubby called last week but all they could say was that they'd received the info
They say we have to get info to them within a certain period of time yet don't give any indication of how long will take to let us know how much were going to loose :-(
Just so worried by so much ATM could really do without this too
Finally got a diagnosis of CFS last week, just to tired to sort anything ATM, though tried to contact uni tutor he's been b***** useless and not replied so Im going to needed to go on a email campaign to certain people round the uni
Think my options are:
1 to take a year out, try get health improved
2 repeat year 2 as currently failed it andno chance I can get 7 exams done In space of 6 days
3 drop out completely as I'm just not retaining the information

I would then have to see if I'm eligible to apply for disability as if I'm not up to do uni work there's no chance I'm in any state to work right now :-s so would ave to get IVA reassessed even though I really don't want to do that :-(
this time next year We'll be millionaires :-)

give them a call or drop them an email to see where you're at...you need to know and ask them to keep you in the loop of any process where possible.

I hope you can get some communication from the Uni and can find a solution together x

We finally got an email today saying the overtime is ok nothing needs paying to them, ok that's fine
But with regards to the lump backpay they suddenly want to see a bank statement showing it, wonder why as its no different to the amount that was shown on the agreement >.< but still no say on if we loose it all or only a bit, that's the bit driving me batty, it's sitting there calling to us saying spend it!!! Sort the house with it!!!! Sort the garden with it!!!! Get the kids new mattresses!!!!!! Lol the suspense is a killer

Hi Isis!

It is strange they want to see bank statements showing exactly what you have already told them! I'm not sure what the statements will show that they don't know already...but I guess they have their reasons!

Re uni: I would be inclined to take a year out and then see whether you can go back. At least then you are keeping the door open and can drop out in a year's time if you still don't feel up to it.

I'm quite positive that you will find a few coping strategies that work and start having some much better days!!! It will just take a little while to adjust...but you will.

x

Yeah think that's the option I'd like to go for, take a year out then with luck restart year 2 October 2013
Will depend how they feel, but at least I will then have a year where I can try to get things sorted and then decide what's best be that go back or just leave

Hopefully the uni will be sympathetic and recognise the CFS. Even if they aren't sympathetic you have the DDa on your side and a year out before retaking the year sounds like a reasonable adjustment to me!!

Hey! I posted on your other thread about coping with a disability at university. I took remedial classes to understand how my brain functions and learn practical techniques to help me retain information. These may be available at your university.

Also, exam arrangements for disabled students will be available to you e.g. extra time so you can take short breaks, using a computer to ease the strain of writing and a whole host of other things depending on your specialist requirements.

You could also ask permission to record lectures and classes so you can listen again at a later date or catch up if you are unable to make a class/lecture.

I also found lecturers and tutors very willing to give extra support, particularly helping with assignments and preparing for exams.

I'm sure you uni will want to help you as much as possible!!
