I will be quite happy to utilise my IVA payments once I have finished. It will have been a long time since I had that much disposable income at my fingertips.

Secured loan finishes just after the IVA so that's even better! Shouldn't need any credit ever again![:D]

I know it was well worth it for me so stick it out. It always sounds like a big a pain when you are first beginning down your IVA journey but the light at the end of the tunnel is a bright one!

Hi guys, just to update you all, have managed to get a bank account AND have been informed that within a few months they'll even consider me for a cheque book!

Keep it going... you'll get there in the end... I know you'll go through dark times but it is worth it.

I've been IVA free for just over a year now and it really is a weight off my shoulders... AND.... in these dark times of the credit crunch I have even been given a promotion!

So... my advice is... as bad as it looks now (and I can assure you it looked pretty grim for me on several occasions over the years of my IVA).... there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Good luck to you all!

That's great news, glad that things are on the up and up for you - long may it continue.

A great post and hope for those of us still on the way to debt freedom.

I hope to be in your position one day!

Sorry, been at work tonight so only just caught up.

I'm doing fine thank you - IVA is running quite smoothly at the moment, payments haven't changed so I'm quite happy.
