I got a credit card through aqua to start to rebuild my credit rating as iva finished you got a free credit check account through noodle with having the card. So any way signed up for it to see what was on my credit rating is 513 and said very poor and l was 1 out of 5 which meant no one would lend to me so l don't even know how l managed to get this aqua credit card. Iva is still on but my 6 years is up next week the 18th of august so l be looking to see what it's like once that and the defaults are removed. Pleased l got this card now as hopefully it will build my credit rating up.

Glad you got the card.

Noddle is a great way of checking your rating as it is free and is used by Call Credit.

Once your IVA is up, get a copy of your report from Experian and Equifax as well. Costs £2 for a one off report from each or you can sign up for a free 30 day trial but do remember to cancel before it's up!

People will lend based on their own criteria - the risk is reflected in the APR.

The more positive side is that some people are realising that there is a massive untapped market with people coming out of IVA's who need to spend/borrow nut want to do it responsibly.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

If you have a cc you are no longer subject to an IVA.

You can only try and see what happens.

Personally I will be in no rush to change my bank account next year (Secure Trust) but that is because the way that I have things set up works for me and I'm in no rush to change.

Just lloyds haven't been that good to me and 2 weeks ago the manager embrassed me in front of my daughter. She wanted to open an account as she's 17 he asked if l had account and could he see my card l have an cardcash account with having an iva. He waved my card at my daughter and said you have an better account than your mams with more benefits I've never felt so be little in my whole life just wanted the floor to open up. So that's why I'm wanting to move banks. Just don't know with seeing my credit score now if l get one with nationwide.

Ouch - I'm please to say that all the kids have better accounts than I do.

They also understand the reason and what they can learn from what happened with us.

I dont think that the manager meant anything and it was probably more a poor sales pitch but if that is the way you feel it is probably time for a new start.

Yeah time for a new start and thinking with a new bank. I'm hoping l can get a current account with nationwide if not l get a basic one and hopefully upgrade in the future.
Well from a manager you wouldn't expect that plus it was on the floor where customers were passing it's not like we were in a office. It's just put me off plus yes my daughter knows but what if she didn't know he shouldn't have been discussing my account.
