Our young'un opened an account with the Swinton while we were (still are) in our IVA's, no problems at all. We are trustees of the account.

I believe Yorkshire Building Society has a range of accounts too. Many forum members have accounts there with no trouble too.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Your daughter should be able to go where she likes and I would think a mutual like the Nationwide should be considered as their mortgage deals are quite good [when she needs one].

My son has a tsb account. They were our biggest creditors and he hasnt had a problem!

We have a yorkshire bs online saver which is pretty good and has a cashcard.

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hope your daughter managed to get a savings account opened.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
