Kerri, glad to hear it's all over for you, you've had a rough ride by all accounts. Sorry to hear about the car but how about using the first 200 of holiday allowance to get a real old banger with tax and mot and taking a camping holiday the first year. It may not be ultra reliable, but at least you will be able to get to where you need to be.

If they want you to use public transport, the allowance for public transport should more than cover the insurance and car repairs, just watch your petrol.

Appeal the decision about the car to the Official Reciever directly. I feel that you have been harshly treated in this regard. If they still insist on selling, are there any family members who could help out and buy it from you?

It,s a shame about the car and I would take Melanies advice on this.
Its great,and a nice suprise,that they allow a holiday fund though !!!
