Big Geordie and Jacky had invested all their cash in a racehorse but it was the slowest thing on four legs. It lost every race by a veritable street. In fact it hardly ever broke sweat.

'It's a feckless owld 'oss,' said Sean. 'A waste of time, money and effort. We'll have to get shot on it.'

'How will we dee that ...we not ganna kill it are we?' asked Jack.

'Nah, marra ... Ah'll not see it hort,' said Geordie, 'we'll tek it across the fields and runaway from it!'
