Hi Viki

No can't go to work.....oh thinks it is hilarious (in a nice kinda a way)as I get all upset with myself when I can't go to work....I have got to go to fracture clinic tomorrow, and the doc said I will be best restingfor a couple of weeks and then see how I go but it will take up to 7 weeks. Fortunately Lily read the thread and gave me some really good advice and I think it has helped loads.

I have got to take pain killers at regular intervals, doesn't help that I have arthritis so most pain killers are useless to me as I don't really feel the benefit of them......I'm a right walking disaster. XX

Thanks for the hugs. X

How are you?

Don't worry about me if I sit really still it doesn't hurt, it's quite sobering sitting in A&E as you realise how lucky you are. There were loads of idiots just descending on the poor staff as we were leaving. It's ashame.

Blimey, fracture along the length, you must have megga wacked that!!!!! Its quite rare, the biggest problem is damage to the joint. I am glad you went to A and E as they will look after it for you. Do as youre told though, its better in the long run.... I am sure you will feel it for weeks to come, even when healed they tend to keep swelling up and balk when you do too much. Pain is a danger sign, it means your toe isnt happy. REST......

It was busy this morning so that was good. The buyer came in for brekky so we had a quick chat in the toilet!!!!![:0] That seems to be our meeting place until I tell everyone! Wasn't over the moon with some of the stuff she was asking really. I've posted on the other thread but I'll email you tomorrow with all the boring details, as you'll have lots of time for me to bore you![}:)]

I've never actually broken anything (touch wood), did kind of fracture my toe once, I think. I'm a BIG wimp, I'm allergic to pain of any kind.

The rest will do you good![:)] XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

Ah Lily - thank you so much for your advice, it would appear you have done me a major favour - thanks. I am sort of hoping they decide they can do nothing when I go tomorrow, the doc mentioned pins and things but I can't see it not for a toe!

Viki, never worry about boring me - you don't. I'm gonna have to take you in hand, I can see [:D]

I will check the other thread out but do send me a mail...

I wish Viki. The forum kept me occupied and the wine made me numb lol so it wasn't too bad. I have not actually been in too much pain when I think about it, but the car park is a far walk from the A&E dept. oh drove direct to A&E as they do have about 10 spces but they were full, so without thinking he drove straight over to the car park with me still in the car...therefore I had to limp all the way across to the hospital in my pink fluffy slippers [:0].

The doctor even saw the funny side when he saw my slippers [:I]. It didn't help that I went bright red [:I]

I am picturing you now though![:X]

You have great coping skills hun and you're always seeing the funny side of things, you really cheer me up, not that you being in pain cheers me up! XXXXXXXXXXXXX

I do my fair share of moaning and whining, I can assure you. [}:)]
I have been so low that I could barley get out of bed....I'm determined I am never going back there to that point.

I can't wait to get back on my feet though, at this rate I will be coming to Bradford in my pink fluffy slippers [:0] [:I]

What you up to tomorrow?

My foot is jut throbbing at the moment, I think it is because I have been out and about on it.

I am going to bed now as I still have to be up to sort out little one - you can't be totally ill with kids lol! I need to make sure the greb gets a shower - he is allergic at the minute, an age thing I think. [:I]

I will email you when I get back from the clinic my appointment is at 0940 so I should hopefully be back before lunch.

Have a lovely sleep. Speak tomorrow.
