out of work, can I make an offer to keep iva going

I am currently paying into a i.v.a
due to illness i am out of work. the i.v.a people gave me a 3 month break, i am still out of work. can I offer to pay £200 a month to keep it going

I am not sure on this one but you i would suggest just giving your IP a call and discussing it with them and they may be able to come up with a soultion

Give your IP a call, £200 sounds extremely reasonable to me especially when you are having a crap time. Sorry to hear about that. Bad enough being ill really and hope you feel better soon#13;#10;

How are you going to raise the £200 pm when you are out of work, only asking coz hubby and i in same situation?

what are your payments normally before illness and loss of job ?
give your ip a ring only he can advise but it sounds reasonable you are trying your best

The only way this could be done would be if you were to persuade your IP to call a variation meeting of your creditors, to see if they will formally accept a reduced offer until you get back on your feet again.
