Have you asked them specifically what is holding matters up?

I was told by one of their customer service team yesterday that the GT closures team do not take calls and to email them! I have had no reply to any email for over a week now :( really stressed and awaiting heart surgery which obviously i should be avoiding stress! :(

Hopefully Karol can clarify why clients are unable to make calls into the closure team at GT

Good Morning Angelbear,

I hope you are well.

I am genuinely sorry you have not received a response from the dedicated Closures team. Please can you forward your email to my Customer Services team at ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com quoting "IVA Forum" in the subject line including your case code and I will escalate accordingly.

Kind Regards

Karol

Hi angelebear hopefully now Karol is on the case you will get a response asap and hopefully minimise any further rise in stress levels. If email is the only form of contacting them at the moment it would be good to have a faster response process in place - hopefully Karol will look into this. Good luck with the heart surgery whenever you have it.

Tara.ch/tj72 - welcome to the forum. Well done on completing your IVA - hope you get your certificate in good time.

I doubt there will be a fast closure. I emailed GT customer service for an update and to ask a couple of questions a few days ago and still no reply. Speed is not their forte it seems. This is a shame as after nearly 6 years of abiding by the rules and doing everything asked of us it seems unfair to hold back the completion certificate for another 6 months (if we are lucky as some seem to have been waiting much longer). Surely there should be some regulations in place to stop this problem.

Keep trying those helplines - they may be busy with the handover of cases at present, but I am sure someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks Karol, still frustrating that you cant call closures and you now get an auto response saying 10 days to reply! its bad really this is people getting therir lives back and it appears once you have all the fees you can from a client you dont really care how long it takes to tie up their case! making an IVA easily a year longer just to achive closure.
