Hi all,

My parents have just paid off my IVA for me, 3 years early. Thanks to them for that.

I am wondering, do I recieve a completion form or anything to say its been paided in full? and how long this takes?

As I want to move away from ThinkBanking and setup a New current account and savings account? Will I be able to get one? Also would like to be able to take out a mortage this year will this be possible or will I still have a bad credit record even thought my IVA is complete?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Spon,

You should receive a certificate of Full Implementation which basically you have satisfied your obligations to the IVA.

It will remain on our credit for file for 6 years from the date your IVA is approved regardless and you may still struggle to get a mortgage without a deposit.

I have heard of people obtaining a 100% mortgage 12 months after you settle your IVA. (But you would probably have to produce the certificate to the mortgage company)
