Neverending
I believe that many others would consider that 1 in 100 times is a rare occurrence and most certainly not the norm. I am quoting figures based on my experience which again is based on the hundreds of clients my company helps to propose IVA's every single month. Would you care to explain why you feel that this figure is incorrect and state the number of cases that you have based your findings on?

I would feel that I was doing someone who had posted a question an injustice if I did not cover all the points that I felt relevant to their query.

The question asked why this particular person had been asked to be available in person / on the phone for the date of the meeting. I simply answered the question.

Interesting Neverending that your posts are based on "common sense" and not evidenced by the number of cases you have experienced.

Hello all

There are currently no industry wide statistics available on the number of IVA meetings that are actually attended by the creditors. I would agree that this is indeed a rare occurrence and that 1 in a 100 times would be a fairly good estimate.

Hope this information is of use

Oliver
As you are employed by a company that arranges IVAs then your "advice" has to be by the book, and I understand that. However I am not connected to any financial company and can give advice from a end users perspective and I think that I would be correct in stating that alot of people find it useful.
I notice that you still have not given any hard evidence to support your claim of 1 in 100 Creditors meetings bieng attended by the creditors and I suggest this is because that figure is not accurate. I will repeat again that the figure is nearer to 1 in 1000 and will only be for high value or complicated cases.

It seems a little bit hypocritcial to claim that my estimate is incorrect because I haven't given you specific industry numbers and then quote a figure yourself based only on so called "common sense".
We will just have to agree to disagree on this point Neverending. As I have stated previously my figures are estimated based on my experience with hundreds of IVAs every month.

I believe that this site does benefit from having you post and I look forward to reading your posts in the future.
