Paperwork ... The beginning of the end...

Further to a long telephone conversation at the Solicipoos' office this week, I was delighted to learn that I am no longer required to send any more paperwork to them as just 2 payments to go and would not be requiring a final I&E with the year 6 documents as neither relevant now... They do not require anything now other than the final 2 payments received at their office ... [:D] ...

I am advised that due to me constantly keeping them informed, they have placed full trust in me and are standing by to receive my final monthly payment due out on 4th January... Once their accounts can confirm received, it will ping up an alert of the 72nd payment and to his desk where he will immediately release final funds out and I may even get my certificate by the end of January... [^] ...

I am also told that as I phoned to declare additional monies, I had permission to keep as appreciated the honesty and the chequered flag in sight ... [^][^][^][^][^][^] ...

Party On! ... looks as if it might be the first Xmas in years!!!!!!!

Agreed Dots.....I was advised by Melanie Giles to send my pay slip to her on a monthly basis and as I get to keep the first 10% over my earnings and then split it 50/50, I'll be more than happy to do as much overtime as I can and hopefully realise more money to pay the creditors.

After all 50% of something is better than nothing at all.

Cant wait till I am in your position with the final payment.

Great post Dots and I totally agree about honesty being the best policy, I do send my payslips in quarterly to Melanie but never had a problem and if there was any money to be paid over would do this willingly.

It doesn't pay them off in full, but it does go a long way towards paying off more of your debts. I don't think the IP gets any more though as their fees have already been sorted.

However, I do know of at least one poster on here who will be looking to pay back 100p in the pound, or as close as, purely by working a lot of overtime, so it is possible to pay back in full.

I never get the opportunity to work any overtime, so it never affects me, and so far have not had to pay anything across from any payrises. I do have the 10% plus 50/50 clause though.

As regards regular overtime, I know Melanie does not include overtime as, even though it may be regular, there is no guarantee, particularly at the moment, that it will continue.

I'm sure the creditors will be more than happy to take any extra that can be paid across to them.

Just to make a couple of points here. Firstly, additional monies paid into your IVA does make a difference - it means that creditors get paid a higher dividend. And secondly, regular overtime for my clients would not result in the setting of higher payments moving forward. My assessments at year end are always based on basic earned salary alone.

Your successful IVA really confirms the importance of having a good open relationship with your IP. If you're IVA is set up correctly and you can make necessary adjustments throughout the course, then the IVA will conclude as planned.

well done.we are in our final yr....we had eqiuty clause and due to climate no equity!!! so have gone for another yr to finish the iva not been an easy rd
