PARTNER JOINT DEBT.
hi all,
im having my iva proposal drawn up within a week and ive included all my creditors.
however one of these creditors is a joint debt with my partner. this creditor has been included in my proposal, however my partner is being chased for the debt. What are her options and how much does she have to pay them as they will be receiving money through my iva hopefully.Thanks. what do i say to them when i/she makes contact???

Hi there and welcome to the forum

You will need to ensure that your partner can either afford the ongoing contractual repayments to this creditor, or can make a separate agreement with them. Although they will be getting a return from your IVA, they will have to wait for this and may see that pursuing your partner is a better option to get themselves repaid.
