That's great news Ang, you must be so relieved..i really am pleased for you and hubby xx..

Plastic-i too work for the NHS, and we have just been informed that they are looking to put us on a 5 day week[}:)]
We currently do 3 long shifts per week which include a sleepover, but suddenly (after all these years!) they are saying that it's no longer cost effective-due to the unsociable hours rate of pay, and that we shouldn't be working for more than 10 hours per shift!

I really do hope that the union can fight to keep the shifts as they are, and i couldn't agree more that if they got rid of some of the managers there would be a lot more money in the budget[:D]!!..

MTL...I hope you get some confirmation very soon, will keep my fingers crossed for you both that you have some good news very soon.!!...PD and Tori,..hope your shifts aren't cut,it must be a very worrying time for you both, will keep my fingers crossed that you both get to keep the hours that you are used to doing.!!....Ang,hope things work out well for you both too and that your pay isn't affected too much, like you say hubby has his job at least, that's all you can cling to nowadays...at our works at present, overtime has been cut for everyone which hasn't affected me luckily as not needed in my position but they are drastically reducing costs wherever they can,it really is a very worrying time for everyone I think at present.!!.Viki,hope your hubby finds work again soon as well, you must be very worried and I do think about you often!!...Good Luck everyone..will be thinking of you all..xx
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..

Thanks to all for your support. It really does help. I feel bad because I know mine and wifes jobs are both relatively safe, compared to many others out there in numerous industries now that are suffering really badly with pay offs etc.

I really fear for the sate of the country as its going to get worse before it gets better IMO.(my glass is neither half full nor half empty,it has been dropped on the floor!!!)
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
