Hi all,
First posting-got a creditors meeting on Wednesday-I was just wondering how many started paying before your meeting, is this usual? I will be glad when it's Thursday-worried silly.

Hey lendusaquid, welcome to the forum. Good luck for Wednesday, I'll have my fingers crossed for you. It's normal to give your first months payment to your IP before your meeting to show your commitment. How much have you given? X

Good luck from me too lendusaquid.

Some people pay up front, some don't. It's down to each individual IP.

Let us know how you get on.

Who are you doing your IVA with? That seems a lot of payments to have made before your creditors meeting.

I've made two payments to Thomas Charles, but I think its cos they are an intermediary, which I didn't realise until about a week ago. I have paid them around £1,200 which they keep for 'their efforts' - I think I wasted this money as I could have gone direct to an IP had I known and I dont think it would have cost me anything - rubbish eh?

This is the problem with a lot of us. By the time we find this forum we have either sorted an IVA, or are well on the way because we were desperate at the time.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I'm not sure if they are just an intermediary firm (could be wrong though).

That would explain why you have made all these payments up front.

What proportion of your debt do these hold? MBNA in particular have been awkward recently.
