I'm sick to my back teeth of payplan and wanted some advice from people who have complained about them.holding onto their completion certificates and have managed to get them.

In short I am on my 4th complaint email asking for my completion certificate. I wrote that I am willing to agree they can keep my PPI ( as I know there isn't any). Their latest reply asks me to state why I need my completion certificate so urgently....
Is wanting to build my credit rating again a good enough reason.

Please help

Jenna

The regulators have issued fines for not closing cases in a timely manner so it looks like you have little option other than to make a formal complaint via the Gateway. You have tried to go through their complaints procedure but with no satisfaction so you can now escalate the matter.

It is also none of their business why you want the certificate but wanting closure to the IVA is sufficient in its own right. Being in an IVA and still on the register can cause problems so wanting your name removed is reason enough.

The Gateway acknowledges complaints quite quickly and if not resolved their you can go to the Insolvency Practitioners Association. Hopefully it does not take this for you to get your certificate.

Jenna,

I was with Payplan up until my Full and Final agreement at the end of year 5 last Autumn.

I was told that my completion certificate would be delayed pending the outcome of the court case Green v Wright , the next scheduled hearing being in May 16.

I wrote to Payplan reminding them that I had previously agreed and continued to agree that any successful PPI claims would go straight to the IVA.
I asked them to explain in detail as to why this case had a direct bearing on my arrangement and if they couldn't satisfy me, then they should issue my certificate forthwith.

I had my certificate within a fortnight.

Good luck.

My husband had a caveat put on his completion to say that any PPI would be paid across and he had his letter within a couple of weeks.

They'll be waiting for a long time though as he never had any!!

Thanks for the link.

It's just so frustrating. I was just so happy/ relieved when I made that final payment and I didn't think I'd have to fight to get my completion certificate.

It makes you wonder how many people they have on their books who are just accepting this when they could be getting their credit rating back in order

I'd mither beforehand - keep pestering until they get fed up of hearing from you.
