Hi All,
Haven't been on here for a while but have been watching 'from afar' as they say.

Anyway, has anyone else who has Payplan as their I.P. noticed a drop off in their service since they've changed offices etc.

I have and most recent to date is that my annual review is now due so because I didn't receive a reminder ( I have previous in yrs ) I contacted my case officer to organise one, I received a reply saying that I was booked in today for 2pm, well its now 3.45pm and no phone call[:(!]

I am now going to have to contact them again to remind them.....[V]

Thanks Lesley,
Just seems that Payplan's once excellent service has rapidly gone downhill....

I hope it soon picks up again maybe a temporary blip during the changeover, no excuses I know for customer care but hopefully things will be back on track very soon. x

This is disappointing since Payplan are one of the companies that creditors recommend.

I think the change over was a while ago to be honest and it seems that this is 'the norm' for them now.[V]

Hi Endmseet
I am with payplan on a DMP at the moment, and may be going for a FF IVA with them in the future,I know you have said you have got a few problems with them now,but over all would you recomend to go through an IVA with them or go at it alone with another IP?
thank you

Hi Sandalwood,
I personally would not recommend them anymore, at first they were excellent and really felt like that I could get in touch with them over any problems but now I feel as if I am just another number.

I am not the sort of person who needs to be in touch all of the time and really don't mind if I do not hear from Payplan from yr to yr but when it it is necessary such as my annual review and I get told that they will ring me at a certain time I expect them to ring....

This is not the first instance for me, I have had someone else's wageslips incorrectly sent to my house, I have had to wait for replies to emails and phone calls, sometimes up to a week only to be told that my case officer is on holiday etc

The above may sound abit petty but it has all happened in the past eight months or so since they've swapped offices.

I have just rang them to ask why they haven't phoned and got thru to someone who 'couldn't really help' me so I have had to email my case officer again.

As I said before, at first they were excellent but now they have become just another company so I would ring around before considering Payplan.

Good luck with whoever you choose....

We're still newbies to this, but so far we cannot fault payplan at all. They've been really good and usually answered all our queries within 24 hours unless weekend. I know a few of other posters on here are with them also and don't seem to have any problems either. good luck x

I'm with Payplan and other than when the office was shut for two weeks over Christmas, I've never had any problems contacting them. I had to get in touch a couple of weeks ago over the weekend and my case officer contacted me on the Monday morning.

Had no problems with the annual review either.

It just seems to me that since the switch over of offices they have become alot more commercial so to speak and there isn't the 'personal' touch anymore.

Also their justabank website is an excellent idea but there are now more and more adverts on it about how we can get you a better deal on car insurance/ broadband etc which seems to me that they are becoming commission based.

I wait for the reply to my email with interest.....

I wasn't aware that they had moved offices. I still send my stuff off to the same address I've used since the beginning.

So far I've no complaints about the service. My annual review was done in March and on the date and time stated. As to Justabank, I ignore the adverts. They tried to get me a better deal on car insurance and couldn't manage it.

I was with Payplan for my IVA and I am now just waiting for the clean-up paperwork.

One problem I had is that the case officers seemed to change quite frequently.

Because I work in an open office it was never easy to take phone calls; but my request that contact be made by e-mail never seemed to be passed on or recorded on my file.

I was unaware of any change of address, my last correspondence being in early January.

I was disapointed with the level and quality of service from Payplan.
They seemed to shoehorn you into an IVA to gain their fee, even though it was not appropriate to my circumstances! They don't give advice - just stear you into an IVA.
Once signed up their case officers attitude changed to indifference, fobbing you off to keep you quiet! I had no initial contact with case officer - had to ring them in the end.
Twice I was instructed to say I had a dog - to claim the allowance - I had no dog.
My circumstances changed dramatically and couldn't afford the IVA - once informed my case officer went balistic! - no help what so ever.
I would go with the smaller companies, if I ever had to do it again!
