Hi folks
just wandering if anyone has had quick decision on IVA. I have absolutely everything ready to send off the day after receiving documents from payplan. Have new bank account open. Payplan said that it shouldnt take anywhere near 4-6 weeks to get through, has anyone else experienced this.

many thanks in advance

Hi
I think that your IP has to give the creditors at least 21 day notice of the creditors meeting,so if the proposal has been written by your IP,and agreed by you, then another three weeks will be the minimum

Thanks for that. I have been so impressed with their service thus far. I emailed my IP earlier asking her to phone and the phone rang almost immediately.

Would recommend anyone to Payplan Partnership.

Andy is correct usually 21 days to notify creditors and 1 - 2 weeks to prepare the proposal.

So although you wont have the outcome for 4 - 6 weeks your IP would not be putting the proposal foward if they did not see a real chance of acceptance.

It takes 4 to 6 weeks if done properly - ie by independent verification of creditor balances (if necessary), professional valuation of property, and proper discussions with yourself at various intervals to ensure that you fully understand the process and implications attached thereto.

If our chosen IP can do all of that in a shorter timescale, you are clearly getting a very good service.

We commenced our IVA first call on July 17th 2007 - our creditors meeting was on the 18th September and it was approved - very quick and efficient - our IP was excellent throughout and kept us in contact with what was going on etc etc.

Hi thanks for your replies.

Had an email this morning to say all documents rec'd safely and that they will be in touch within the next few days to do valuation on the house and once they have this back they can start drafting proposals.

Thanks for your support, I hope the end is in sight as it were.

Hi no money eva, I am with Payplan, and i can say that they were very efficient at sorted my IVA out. About 7 weeks in total it took them, once the valuation is done on your house, and they have received all the paperwork, they will have your proposal out to you in no time.

We contacted Thomas Charles just before xmas and are IVA was approved on 7th April. Obviously Xmas and New Year would have delayed the start, so probably three months total!

Me again, had e-serve call today they are coming to do a valuation next Friday 29th Feb, so all things being fair I reckon I should have a creditors meeting around the end of March, as Payplan said once they get the valuation the proposals will be sent out within 2-3 days once I have sent them back then they will give me a date.

Here hoping- i am hope for an answer before my birthday 8 April.

Thanks again for all your support.

Hi no money eva

I hope it gets done before your birthday as mine was over that time and was thoroughly depressing[:(]

I know caraf also had to wait over Christmas for her meeting on 27th Dec which must have been agony!!!
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....
