I haven't posted on here for quite a few months now but for anyone who remembers me here is an update. My husband and I started IVAs in July 2007 with Payplan and we had a few discrepancies but things ran pretty smoothly. However, my husband was made redundant and having worked for the company for 35 years received a very generous redundancy package. He decided to offer some of the reduncancy money as full and final settlement for both of our IVAs and the meeting was today. I'm really happy to report that the offer, for both IVAs, was accepted. I AND MY HUSBAND ARE DEBT FREE!!! Apart from the mortgage of course!

I would really like to thank Payplan for their help. I would especially like to thank two Payplan employees. I do not wish to mention names but their initials are SK and KS. I am sure that they will know who they are.

I would highly recommend Payplan, they have been an enormous help to us. It is such a great relief to know that we are free. Good luck to anyone else with the same problems we had.

That's brilliant news for you and well done to Payplan. They often get bad press on this forum, so it is very nice to hear a good story for a change.

Thanks Melanie, and thanks also for the advice you have given me in the past. I'm really glad we came through this.

Don't be a stranger and stick around! People like you who have successfully completed IVAs, are an inspiration for those in the middle of them or thinking of proposing one to their creditors. Clearly demonstrating that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

That's fantastic news jc4! Well done and well done to Payplan as well!

I'm with them so it's good to hear some very positive feedback.

Well done jc4.
I have a rather large repayment with Payplan with a very healthy 68% repayment percentage to my creditors(my major debtor was HMRC due my business failure, had to scratch around to get 2 other creditors)and have generally found Paypal to be helpful except for their quick turnover in staff.
Due to the nature of my very erratic self employed income I decided to make my payments weekly, not ideal for Payplans purposes but really so much easier for me, at least if I'm not paid over the Christmas, Easter & summer breaks when i have no work, I don't end up missing a whole month, just the odd week which I am able to make up over the following month.
Whilst I don't advocate this for everyone it just shows how flexible your IP can be when they understands your situation, i just wish they would put this in their notes so that each time I get a new case officer I don't have to explain it all over again. :)

Hmm that sounds as if i am on holiday at those times.. no work as my clients are all small businesses which shut down and fly off into the sun themselves.[8)]

I have had a few long term debts that I found to be more than I could handle and I just didn't pay them. Of course when you do that they get worse. I'm glad for consolidation because that has saved me from a lifelong problem.
