Payplan!! For some reason, though sat here with a nice brew and a choc chip muffin watching xfactor, I suddenly remembered what Payplan said to me in a conversation I had with them on Friday, and its really made me feel really cross.. for anyone that read my rants will know what happened, Payplan advising us IVA, 4 long and painful months of struggling with them, IVA rejected by Northern Rock who it turns out didnt have all the information, Chairman that delivered the bad news said we might as well just go bankrupt, had to conntact NR myself who suggested PP send them more info, NR came back with uplifts, blah, blah, blah, then when I confronted PP on Friday about them not making us aware of some nasty surprises and leaving us to believe our allowances were realistic, they turned around and said (and its this that just bugged me) that they realise that some of these IVA proposals probably wont be successful, but the odd one or two slip through the net because the creditors dont always read them properly and we just hoped yours would be one of them. Hmm, very professional way to run an advisory service I must say!! Funny how that just sprung to my mind, maybe I'm not as calm as I thought I was! Anyway, back to my choccy muffin now ;-)

As I have said before, we have had nothing but professonial service from Payplan from the first day we approached them. They are always there for us when we phone and have answered all queries promptly. I particularly like the way I can keep an eye on both our IVA's online via their Justabank site. Gives me that feeling of being in control.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

That is not a very professional comment to make to a client, and I would have thought the Payplan IPs would be concerned to know that their firm was being represented in this manner.

this is obviously playing on your mind mrs moody,i hope you get sorted, bankruptcy is a last resort but if thats the only option left for you then so be it.a lot of people go bankrupt and move on with their lives, and generally bankruptcy clears your debt quicker than a iva, with smaller payments over 3 years from your disposable income.and your creditors will get very little from any payments made as the court swallows them up.if thats what your creditors want then so be it.

I believe Mrs Moody is now looking at doing a DMP with Vincent Bond as far as I am aware.

Hi
It is important that a company sets a clients expectations from the outset. If a case is borderline then the client should be made aware of this from the start, this way that person has a plan B already formulated and rejection is not such a shock

With me, it was by no means certain that my IVA would go through, but Plan B was to do a DMP with them for 6 months before trying again.

Fortunately, that wasn't necessary.

I've heard a lot of good things about Payplan, and like all companies, for every complaint we hear about on the forum they no doubt have many satisfied customers.

Hi All

We too had a por service with Payplan. They firstly got tthe paperwork wrong and the amounts for IE and disposable too.

They had to resend the paperwork out. It was an arms lenght approach and we did feel that to contact them was a chore as they made us feel like we were bothering them. The application in the end was turned down and they left us with no escape route. DMP forever or BR which we did not want to do. We avoided BR becasue of my voluntary commitments. They give bad advice there too.I have since had to give up most of my VR work and am left feeling we would have been bettre with Br from the outset.

We got our IVA through another IP and it is working OK. If I where in a similar position today I would probably opt for BR.

Paypal have been great with us, had a few queries this week emailed them and replied within hours with good advice and answers. Suppose there's good and bad areas in all organisations and its often down to individuals who sometimes poorly represent their companies. I'd let them know directly as I'm sure they would be glad to know what advice you have been given.
Hope your getting there.

Sorry you had a problem with them, but I still rate them very highly. I have never had a problem contacting them, either prior to the meeting or afterwards.

Hi
I think being able to see your IVAs online is a very good service. I wonder if any other companies offer that ?

It's the only one I know of. You can see how much you have paid in, when your next payment is due, and has the contact details of your case worker, your chairmans report, your last I&E.

minime, my previous post was referring to janderson, not you as you are obviously happy with them.
