"Horses for courses" springs to mind, along with "One man's (should that be person's) meat is another's poison". Different firms have different ways of doing things, which might suit some, but not others. All firms, not just in the insolvency business, have happy as well as disgruntled clients at some stage.

As has been said before, complaints seem to get much more airing than bouquets.

They used to keep telling me that at the cinema ( when I could afford to go and the prices were in pennies!).

Weill I am seriously doubting that I made the right choice when I took my IVA with Payplan. When I contacted them in July last year they couldn't have been more helpful but since my IVA was approved in September I have had nothing from them. I am on my 4th case officer in as many months and no one bothers to answer my emails :o(

I can only speak from my own experience, but overall, I’ve found PayPlan to be fine. I will have completed 5 years this June with one year to go in lieu of equity release. Last week I e-mailed my previous 3 months payslips to them and got an acknowledgment the next day. I only contact them by e-mail, (I like to have a physical record of my contact), and have always received a prompt response.

Email-wise, I think it does depend upon who picks it up at the other end. With my IP (not Payplan), I tend to use named contacts (they don't have case officers as such), some don't respond or are less than helpful, so I tend not to use their mail address again, others are fantastic, really responsive and helpful, so, I am afraid I tend to pester those !!!!

Regarding the problems people have highlighted with constantly changing Case Officers - I wish ours would change!

I find her abrupt, antagonistic and totally unsympathetic. It depresses me every time I have to have contact with her. [V]

I doesn't seem fair that when you are persistently emailing your IP company, that those e-mails are ignored. I would suggest that you make a formal complaint directly to your IP who will probably want to investigate why this has happened.

As for a rude case officer - you should be able to request them to be replaced, as perhaps there is a training need for that person which the IP will need to address.

Supergert have you tried sending a message via payplanplus? If you have you have a record of these and making a complaint will be easier as you can prove they received them. Alternatively just call them explain grounds for your complaint & they will investigate.
The road is 72months long starting September 2010.

Hi langerbridge. Ironically I enquired about payplanplus last week as I wanted an account but they said it wasn't available to new customers at the moment and the IT team are working on getting everyone access. I emialed both my IP and case officer at payplan but I have heard nothing. I will give them another call next week, but it doesn't restore your faith in someone dealing with such a big event in your life as an IVA. Hey ho :o)

To be fair to them and probably all other IP firms at the moment, I am sure with the economic climate as it is they will be inundated with people asking for advice and help.

NOT AN ESCUSE AT ALL
if they want to continue to take on further work then the current clients should not suffer.im sure mel would not take on extra work and then blame the workload on not being up to the mark with her service.i am a payplan customer and have no problems at this moment in time but would not like to think i could not get the right service if i needed to
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards
