Hi,

I am a trustee of a SAS pension scheme, and have to give up my status whilst in BR.

Does anyone know if, once discharged, I can once again become trustee?

My financial advisor is not sure, but thinks that I can never be again.

You are only stopped from remaining in this post by the bankruptcy restrictions imposed on you while bankrupt or if you are subject to a bankruptcy restriction order.
Once you are discharged you can take up this post again as long as there are no restriction orders placed against you.

I think that the technical answer would be that it depends on the Pension Trust Deed.

It is very rare for there to be sanctions on discharged bankrupts in any walk of life, so queenie is probably right.
