We used to have a ginger invader as well but Harry used to see him off. He doesn't mind other cats coming in the garden, he seems to discriminate against ginger cats!

I love beagles Lyns! Apparently if you go for a pedigree dog they are one of the the better ones as they don't have any major health problems like some breeds. And they are adorable!

We've got a black and white cat coming into our garden after our resident field mice - I have to make sure he's nowhere to be seen before loosing the dogs out!!!!

If I had a dog I would like a biggish one - love German Shepherds as I walk one 3 times a week for my friend who works. As soon as I see her we have a big cuddle and then a tummy tickle - she is so gorgeous x (the dog that is-not my friend)

Border Collie is my ideal choice of dog but don't have the time to look after one. Maybe one day who knows? x

There's a huge black and white cat that scares our 2 everytime. Dobby only has to see it and he goes nuts! The protective "little" brother that he is [:D]

Loving the Fred updates [:)]

Cor Blimey! Fred's are expensive [:0]

Luckily dad gave us cash for Christmas (early), but it's all gone on the cat !

Vet's Thursday for a check to make sure we start right. Ear mite drops and first vaccination, £70.

Pets at Home today for a better litter tray (got one of those hooded ones to try to keep the litter where it is supposed to be. stocked up on litter and food (£12 a bag, or on offer at £15 for two bags! Have to go back a few times before that offer expires), and a couple of new, heavier bowls (to stop them being flicked around the room!). Anyway -- that was another £50

In three weeks have to go back for second jab .. another £50

But, as the saying goes ....Happy cat ... Priceless[:)]

Little Foggy and Fred have come to an understanding and are getting on well (most of the time). From avoiding the cat like the plague, the poor animal now gets no peace!!! Luckily he seems a tolerant animal.

All this talk of vaccination this preventative that, makes me remember the mongrel dog we had when I was a kid. Never once visited the vet but lived to a ripe old age of 14 and lived in a kennel in the yard.
Are todays pets pampered too much or are the vets and insurance companies making money for old rope?
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Our old lionhead used to eat maltesers ( was addicted to them actually) which are supposed to be really bad for them. But she lived to a ripe old age for a bunny.

I think the same applies to pets as to their owners ... by being sheilded from all manner of bugs we are actually making ourselves ( them) more prone to falling prey to them if unprotected. Probably some great pharmaceutical conspiracy.

Glad he's settling in Foggy!

My mum's last dog was 18 when she died - she was never vaccinated, had flea and worm treatment only if she had a problem and had treats all the time. I used to feed her Nutella sandwiches when I was younger!
