Not posted before but have appreciated All the regular posters replies to others, thank you so much. 3 more payments and all over. Started in may 2010 signed up for iva thinking was going to lose my house. Has been all ok since, a few hard months here and there with surprise bills and repairs to home car, could of asked for breaks etc but new better to struggle now and then and finish on time. Didn't fully understand the equity release but fortunately none, bit was very very borderline but had confirmation in writing last payment April. Can't wait to move on. Apart from the additional 12 months my credit file will take to catch up lol. All done the iva worked for me. Thanks again to All that take the time to repeatedly respond to posters.

Warm welcome to the forum and lovely to read that you've been viewing the forum nonetheless.

Well done on almost completing and so glad you have a positive view of the IVA. Hoping you have a wonderful ebt free future and thank you for posting as it does help others looking in.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks, counting the days. Had I carried on pre Iva I would of just about paid my 10,000 loan back had would of had to make minimum payments on 3 credit cards, so would of been left still after 5 years with about 7,000 worth of cc card debt which probably would of taken 5-6 years to pay with the interest that gets added. In all probably being to make 400 pounds worth of payment a month. Iva allowed £165, giving me much needed breathing space. Now, after nearly the five years will be debt free and 19 years left on mortgage. Lessons learned, budget properly for utility bills, and save for things, alot cheaper and less stressful in the long run.

Now done!!!!!!
Received completion certificate in post this morning after making last payment in May. Long wait, but so relieved I made it. Been out, bought some beer for the rugby (c Mon Wales).
So happy. Thanks again everyone as I have invaluable advice through just reading everyone posts. Best one was when sending in valuation I worked out the 85% value of property and showed ALL sums and figures when I sent it in. So happy #128522;
