I work with someone who has a button phobia. She cannot even say the word and refers to them as fastners. She is very good though as one or two people at work take the mickey and tease her.

Have to say wasps tip the top of the list for me. I was alright until I got stung on the finger and then developed a rash from it!!! And it all very well OH saying stand still and it won't hurt you but that easy for him to say when you haven't got one crawling over your eyelids and lips!!! Bring on the RAID!!! Love the stuff

I can't also bear it if someone steps on a crunchy bug (real life or a film) I have to close my eyes and cover my ears!

Like you Skippy I can't sleep with the wardrobe door open and I can't also sleep with my feet outside of the covers in case the under bed monster gets me - 31 years of age and still scared of the under bed monster - its a b****r in summer!

I don't like maggots either, many years ago I used to live in a flat above a fishing tackle shop. To get to the flat I had to walk down a dark passage into a yard. On a Thursday he closed for half day and that was when he had his maggot delivery and these were stacked in the passage, and there were loads of them! Not to bad when I was on early shift as I was usually home and didn't see them. If I was on lates or nights, I used to have to see which wall they were stacked against and then flatten myself against the other one to get past them. Still makes me shudder now to think about it

I have a needle phobia ... which is awkward as I take insulin twice a day (thank god for the new pens) I'm also phobic about dentists. In fact phobic is to mild a term to describe the feeling .... so guess who has no teef :)
When I was young I was called a rugged individualist
When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric
Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile

Needles I have no problem with at all, can even watch them when I need to have a blood test! Hubbie hates them and cannot watch them, not even on tele.

With me it is eyes (strange really considering I had laser surgery last year!) I cannot bear to see closeups of eyes, or eye surgery on TV. OH has to tell me when it has gone

I can't really think of any phobias apart from-
roaches ,when i watch Fear Factor and they eat them eeww!
Unglazed pottery! the thought of touching terracotta pots and my nails accidently scratching against it,yuk!
Having the curtains open at night and waking up and seeing someone there(we are 4 floors up so that would be freaky)
Lifts, the thought of being stuck in one.
Werewolves! this comes from sneaking down the stairs when i was 7 to sit and look through the bannisters at American werewolf in London on the tv without my mum/dad knowing. We live near some woods so when i used to work nights and there was a full moon i used to run full pelt up to our front door and then walk calmly in!much to the amusement of the o/h who loves to remind me 'their not real!'
Gee, i guess i could think of a few!!
CAN'T BUY ME LOVE !!

I'm a Pisces as well Mrs Skint and I'm frightened of fish and water as well! I had to go to France with work a few years ago and I insisted on going by the Channel Tunnel as it's the lesser of evils - I'm scared of flying - but all I could think of was all that water above me, and I hoped the tunnel didn't collapse!

I also hate fire - I won't even light a match. The ironic thing is I'm the fire warden at work!

I'm a big wuss really!
