Hi,
I tried making token payments to one of the companies when I first started to get into real trouble. The problem was they would chase me again straight away. My girlfriend paid on her card once, just to leave me alone, the next time they called, they said unless I paid the outsatnding amount straight away, that they could legally use my girl friends card as it was now on my account!
Has anybody had a problem like this before?

Cheers, Mark.

Cheers, Mark.

IVA accepted, so 3 down, 57 months to go!!

My one bit of advice, if I can do it, so can you!

I had a classic today,i made a token payment to HFC,on friday as advised to do while trying to sort out another IVA,i explained to the lady on the phone that i would be prepared to make token payments once a month whilst sorting myself out she happily agreed. Then today at 3.45 my mobile goes i recognised the number as HFC so i answer and a gentleman explains that i need to make a payment.
Iexplain ive done this and offered the same monthly, and he tells me that if i give him my card details he will make sure that its paid again the same time next month.I tell him politely[not]that i am no way giving him my debit card details and if my IVA is not sorted in a month then i will ring and make another token payment. He informs me that if i dont give them my card details they cant prevent it going to a debt collector,so much for makeing a good will gesture!

I would tell your girlfriend to ring her card company and tell them not to allow any payments to go to that company, they have no right to take money from a card that has nothing to do with your ac just because someone makes a payment for you. What a cheek.
