They are doing what they are being paid to do, if you pay more, they gat more. They will say anything to get you to part with your money. They start by putting themselves above us, just dont let them. Look at it from this point of view, if it wasnt for people like us, they would be out of a job. Be firm, but polite and professional, they hate that. If they are rude, threaten to tape them and report them.

Baz dont let them get to you.Lily is right attack is the best form of defence. I started to ring them back and complain to their customer services that they were harassing me and that I was giving them the info they needed and that I was answering the phone. I stayed polite and in the end they were agreeing with me. The phone calls then stopped after quoting the telecommunications act. Never got a call again. Dont let them get to you

If you can, phone them first thing in the morning, each morning. That way you are less likely to get a call from them as their notes will show that there has been contact made that day.

That is really good advice! Did you do that personally when going through your own IVA. I think I am going to start telling my own clients to do that from now on.

You are wasted in whatever profession you are currently in!!!

Yes this is exactly what I did.
You have got to be as hard as nails.Remember the people that ring you do not know you, they are just doing their job and you are just an account number.Be firm,NEVER loose your temper and just say NO....
The best form of defence is attack...........its an old saying but so true...
For info I am the Manager of a food/petrol superstore...........and seriously thinking of a career change later this your once I am clear of my IVA[fingers crossed]
regards
