Hi there. Not sure if anyone can help me out but I'm sure I've seen posts where someone has been able to "Google" a phone number to find out what company is calling. I have just tried it but most probably didn't do it correctly and I am curious. When I try and call it back it says "This number is temporarily unavailable". If anyone can help me out with this, the number is 01202 606 129.

I was called by the same number at the end of November, (I didn't answer it). I couldn't find any details about the number. They haven't rung since. The dreaded IVA Council are in Bournemouth, so who knows? I am ex-directory so if it's them, I don't know how they could legally have got my number. Anyway, since my IVA started, I don't answer any number I don't recognise.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my post. It is so annoying when people hang up as soon as the answerphone kicks in. If its someone I want to talk to I will always pick up when they identify themselves. I have since had two calls on my mobile from the same number!!!! If they can't be bothered to leave me a voicemail, they can't want to get hold of me that badly can they? Like Sensible says, it is most probably the IVAC anyway, so who needs 'em???
