hello,

its the first time i have used anything like this before, i'm soooo excited, there are people who know how it feels.

Sounds a silly question but can you still get a mobile phone contract when in an IVA?

Started IVA in Dec 06. wish i would have found this site earlier.

cheersx

Hi Kiska and welcome to the forum. You may find it difficult to get a new mobile phone contract as your credit rating will have been affected by your IVA. I was told that Phones 4 U are more lenient than other mobile phone shops, but I'm not sure how true that is.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

If you have a current mobile phone contract that you don’t owe massive amounts to you will be best advised to keep this as it can be difficult to secure a new contract once in the IVA.

Hi Kiska & Welcome,

I am in agreement with the other experts. Are you able to upgrade your existing phone with the same company, as I believe this doesn’t cause problems?

Kind Regards

Nicola

Hi Kiska

Welcome to the forum

I was on pay as you go until last oct when i went into carphone warehouse and got a T-Mobile contract phone which worked out cheaper than my pay as you go.

So i would say yes you can

PS he tariff i'm on is only £25month with £90 credit for calls or txt's or both...a lot cheaper than £10 a week as i was doing

Kiska

Nothing is silly in this forum

something tivial will be a very big help to someone else and you should be pleased with yourself now knowing that someone will have the same problem as you and will read your letter and replies and feel great
