I spoke to an advisor at creditfix today who to be fair was very helpful however I was a little concerned to find out that at month 54 when it comes to a house valuation then Creditfix send someone to do a drive by valuation. From the outside our house looks well kept but the inside is a different story as things have deteriorated in four years, I worry that their valuation will be higher and lead us to pat for another twelve months.
Mel arranged for a drive by valuation when I was setting up my IVA as I was struggling to get a written valuation , it was a great help and certainly not dodgy
Fruitloop you can always check the ball park figure of a valuation by looking in local estate agents windows, getting recent sales from Righmove and the like.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Yes and hopefully if there is a significant difference in the valuations then Creditfix will be open to negotiation. I have to say that so far all contact I have had with them has been with knowledgable advisors who have answered all my queries promptly. I asked about allowances at review time and figures given me were generous and fair so hopefully things will all run smoothly.
Hi since posting on 31October have received letter from PJG and Creditfix in same envelope explaining Susan Wrigglesworth is our IP . They have taken some time to respond to email and failed to pick up the phone, however emails have been positive they have said they are only interested in payslips for uplifts only ( no uplift no wage slip) then everything needs to be submitted for review , although a little confused as Natalie Watters of PJG said there would be no review this year as is our last but I guess someone must look at something in order for completion certificate to be released, which they have indicated maybe delayed due to situation which is a little disheartening as I have just discovered that until certificate is released IP still entitled to windfalls and inheritance etc which I never looked into at the beginning oh well no sighs of relief yet.........
Had the letter yesterday and were somewhat surprised as we made our final payment on 23rd October. When we made the payment we were looking forward to receiving the certificate in due course, as our last communication with PJG indicated that all was in order and we shouldn't worry. Now we feel confused as our IVA payments are effectively over but our case has still been passed on. How will this affect our completion date? Can't help but feel anxious about this whole business.
Carl.
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of credit card payments!!!

There is usually a final review of the case before formal completion, just to make sure nothing has been overlooked.
Many IP's, and I believe Mel was among them, considered that windfalls and the like were no longer of interest if the completion certificate was being delayed by PPI.
Maybe this would be a question to be put to Creditfix.

Please all .... Mel would not have sold your iva's on without full consideration and will have made every effort to ensure you will be well looked after.
Remember an IVA is an individual agreement ..no two are the same. Your concerns are important and need to be overcome but please do give Creditfix an opportunity to show you how they intend to run their accounts.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
I for one can understand the concern of everyone as us that chose Mel specifically would be for the reason of fairness and in a lot of cases recommendation from those like me who finished an IVA with Mel so no complaints here. However, if they feel aggrieved I can appreciate they feel anxious of the unknown.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Having emailed Creditfix late on Thursday evening, I today received a reply saying that my closure may be delayed for a few weeks and apologising for this.
The good news is that I now have a contact at Creditfix, including email and direct dial 'phone number.
At this stage I don't have any real concern as to how I will be treated as I am, effectively, finished the process (on my part).
My confusion concerns the fact that my IVA was "transferred" (sold?) SIX WEEKS after I had made my final payment when Melanie had often stated that six to eight weeks was sufficient for closure (many received certificates in two weeks). Also, I read a post by Melanie stating that an IP must issue an annual report within two months of the final anniversary in the event that the case has not been concluded at that time. That date, for me, is on Saturday 8th November. Who is responsible for this now? PJG? Creditfix? I'm sure others will be in a similar situation.
