Kerrie, don't worry, there will be a way forward. I have family debt and it is included in the IVA. Good luck, get on the phone tomorrow and let us know how it goes. X

Kerrie, you might want to remove your name from your profile, if you're worried. X

My concern for you is that you are with B&K, which is the DMP arm of Accuma. B&K do not market directly, so it stands to reason that Accuma have already rejected an IVA as unfeasible in your case.

That does not in itself rule out an IVA, especially if your circumstances are different now, but you would not have been put forward for DMP if an IVA was in any way viable. At the very worst you would have gone to creditors meeting, failed, and then been proposed for DMP.

Good luck with the call Kerrie

I opted for an iva over a dmp as a dmp would have taken so long to pay off even if the creditors froze all interest which seems unlikely and I like the protection you have in an iva.
i like you was worried I would not be able to manage but I am 10 payments in with no problems and recieved (and continue to recieve) a first class faultless service from Melanie and her team. She would not advise anything that was unrealistic and I completely trusted the advice I was given.

Would the family debts wait until after your iva concludes to be paid as I think I have read it can be difficult to get creditors to agree to have family debts included in an iva, but I could be completely wrong so wait for an expert to clarify,

Good luck
