Please help! I have just received a termination certificate from Creditfix - despite being told on 31 July that they were going to call a variation meeting once my payslips and bank statements were received (which I sent in).
I have been on a payment break due to a change in circumstances but contacted Creditfix in April to advise them that my hours had increased and could resume payments. Ever since them I've been passed from one person/dept to another - I've done everything they asked of me! Don't understand ðŸ˜￾.
Can I ask another provider if I can start again with a new IVA? I have made 2 years worth of payments and am in a position to continue at my original amount.
Thank you

You can start another IVA with another provider, but the last two years will not count towards it. Did CF send you a Notice of Breach ?

Agree with Foggy but will add that your current IVA will have to be failed and you will have to start again.

Thanks for replies.
No, I had nothing from them except emails and phone calls concerning resuming my payments.
Should they have sent me this ''Notice of Breach' first?

Who have you been speaking to? I have found the customer service first line are friendly but not very clued up, Whenever I have spoken to someone more senior I have been given a more sensible and correct answer
I had to be insistent about talking to a caseworker

Hi

I went back to your original post and unfortunately I don't think that this is a mistake - I think that no-one had the guts to tell you directly.

It may be that your best option is to go into a DMP to give you a level of protection and time to think especially if yu are still only able to offer around the £80-90 per month mark.

Hi Lifenoteasy. Why do you think this is not an error ?

The only scenario I can think of is that the agreed break ran out and payments were not resumed -- but it sounds as though Hufflepuff was attempting to resume payments early.

Original post said the payment break had already been almost for a year before being transferred to CF plus there was an offer to go to creditors BUT would be automatically terminated if offer was not accepted.

As it stands payment break appears to have been almost for 2 years.

The break has been around 12 months (to date) and I was assured by CF in view of my circumstances the chances were good but they would have to call a variation meeting because of the length of time.
I have been in a position to resume payments since April but have been waiting for CF all this time.
Very frustrating!

I should also add that updated from my original post, because I have been able to increase my hours at work, I can resume payments at the original level.

I think I'm going to have to try and start again with someone else . Really depressing.

Don't give up!!! Challenge them again and tell them that you are able to continue with the payments at the original level!

If you fail now then you will be back to square one and interest can be added on which will make your debt even worse.

Challenge them first. If you do decide to start again I would suggest approaching a couple of the smaller firms like McCambridge Duffy.

You could also try Vincent Bond who deal with a panel of independent IP's. I have had a few long conversations with their staff and they have a great ethos of putting you, the client, first.

Unfortunately you were let down by your previous company as well.

I hope that you can get this sorted.

Many thanks everyone.

The thing is I have told them I can resume at the original level but it's being going on for months. I just get passed from one person to the other and then the process starts all over again.

I call them on Monday.
