Hi i had my second a/r in oct and they say the sent me a letter asking me to prove my c/tax elect bill and my fuel. I did not get the firt letter? I did get a reminder in apr only 6 mounts late? so i sent it all off by return. i called them today and they say they have not recived? so i fax it to them today.so why has it tacken so long? and if they want more money will it be back dated? please help everything about my ip (well the people on the phone) is so slap dash. They said it would be stress free but its hard work!!

Hi andy

Perhaps it might be easier to scan those documents and e-mail them to the person dealing with your case to ensure safe receipt. I often experience clients who say they have sent in documents, which we do not appear to have received, so encourage all of my clients to now use e-mail where possible.

I'm not saying that is the right answer - but it certainly works for me in my office!

Great idea from Mel, if you ask for a "received receipt" for the email this will prove that the company has received your correspondence.
