Hi Lisa and welcome to the forum

Could you clarify about what you mean about paying your parents for you car? Have they taken out a HP agreement for you?

Hi Lisa and Welcome,

There are many people on this Forum who have gone bankrupt and were feeling exactly the same to you.

Are you borrowing your parents car and paying for the expenses? or are you paying your parents an amount each month for a loan they took out for you?

Hello

Thanks for all the replies, the story goes ... i was in an IVA but the company were not very good ( thats another story ) i had a cheap rover which was always in the garage, i could not afford the maintenence on it so my mum took out a little nissan micra for me and agreed i would pay her monthly which i do.

Now im BK im being told that it would be seen as preference and thats not fair.

But if i dont have a car i cannot work !!! what do i do

Can anyone help please ?

I can't see why that would be the case Lisa. If your Mum owns the car, and you are paying for the use of it, this should be an allowable expense in the bankruptcy.

Hello Melanie

Really appreciate your response, i pay £111 a month and then petrol tax ect, totals about £280 per month.

Do you really think OR will allow this ? im scared stiff as my parents cannot pay it for me ?

Thanks

Lisa
